kuala lumpur
As the capital city of Malaysia, KL is the country's hub for business and modern living.Kuala lumpur is city that great

Bars MalaysiaThe nightlife scene at Kuala Lumpur is for sure one of Asia's liveliest, karaoke lounges, discos, pubs and clubs are ideal to relax, enjoy and find some nice KL nightlife girls, check the Beach Club for this. Aside of the night market at Kuala Lumpur Chinatown is the Pasar Malam night market to see some different Malaysian people, get one of a kind souvenirs and try local street food. The night market on Jalan Raja Muda takes place on Saturdays has also several entertainment features.
Kuala Lumpur’s China Town night market at Petaling Street

is the right place in the evening for a walk and something to eat or maybe just have some beers. If you are not out for beer and similar, there is a marvelous Chinese tea house at the end of Kuala Lumpur’s China Town’s Petaling Street, with polished and shining pots plus a strong Chinese atmosphere, you can really feel it.

Kuala Lumpur's nightlife at China Town is not finished yet. If you sit down Bars Malaysia

in one of  the open air restaurants and bars, as you can see in the picture left a whole Asian selection of food is for your selection.

The waitress will bring you some menus with Malaysian, Chinese, Indian and other food from the food courtyards in the back and you can order real exotic food to be happy on your nightlife tour in KL China Town.

Bars MalaysiaThere is no sexy girl stuff around like in Bangkok Nightlife or Phuket Nightlife. But its not bad its focused on a different type of nightlife. From time to time some guys, maybe one or two, will stop in front of the tables to spice up your Kuala Lumpur nightlife trip, take their guitars and small drums and bring some spices in form of music into the picture.

When the guys on the other side close down their displays of not genuine watches,  run,  and pretend nobody knows anything, the police is out for a copy product raid. But they are not capable to handle this since at both ends of Petaling Street are the guys watching and if they see something which looks like police the walky talky runs hot and everything disappears.

There are also a some nightlife bars around at KL Chinatown such as the reggae bar pictured at right. Actually at KL Chinatown nightlife is rather slow burning, no girls or discos and nightclubs.

Bars MalaysiaThe nightlife at KL Chinatown is also somehow dedicated to shopping, they have a lot of interesting things, but its a hit and run business since this stalls are one day there, the next day not. If you go shopping at the night market it might be useful to buy at the shops who are in the houses just behind the removable shops, because if something is wrong with the items you bought last night next day you can go there and change something. At the stalls on the night market they usually sell fake goods, like copy watches, designer bags, well known brand shoes and so on. It's more or less as Patpong in Bangkok without the go-go bars, nut it has its good sides, its dirt cheap !

It is clearly visible, Kuala Lumpur is not a dull place, even as the people from the middle east get more and more influence over the daily life of the Malaysian people. Sometime it looks like they are buying Malaysia.

Stadium SportThe Stadium Sport bar is one of Kota Kinabalu well-known Sports Bars that started during the World Cup FRANCE 1998. Now it’s a regular hangout for most soccer fans especially enthusiasts of the English Premier League. It usually pulls quite a crowd on the weekend when the matches are shown LIVE on TV. This is expected to be a hot spot this coming EURO CUP 2008.

But this is not just a retreat for soccer fans because it’s also popular for divers too. Its open-air concept allows for a very relaxed atmosphere and makes it inviting even to non-football fans. In keeping with bar trends in Kota Kinabalu, the Stadium also has a 9ft pool table and a dartboard for a fun night out with friends.

The bar girls charge different rates depending on how good looking they think they are. Generally the bar girls charge RM200 - RM250 for short time and between RM300 - RM500 for long time.

The legal drinking age in Malaysia is 21 and you will be asked for ID if you look under 25. Most of the bars close by 1am due to the strict laws though some of the bars listed on this page are open to 3am.

In the bars of the major hotels you will need to dress up, no shorts or singlets. The other more casual bars it is best to wear long pants though they are not as fussy as the big hotel bars.
